The cabin pictured here is located on the shore of Long Pond and surrounded by 66,000-acres of AMC-owned conservation land. The pond has an east-west axis and a narrow width that provides wind protection and makes for a nice lengthy shoreline to explore. Keep on the lookout for deer, moose, beaver and otter.

The AMC promotes the protection, enjoyment and understanding of the mountains, forests, waters and trails of the Appalachian region.
